Like bigger recreational oxygen bars, Cloud9 Spa is proud to offer our oxygen lounge room. Our oxygen lounge room also comes with a complimentary FDA-approved PEMF mat for comfort and added benefits. Our machine pulls from the air around us, and filters out all other gasses and leaves 90% oxygen - which is known to assist the body with many things. An oxygenated body promotes healing and homeostasis. Cloud9 Spa disposes of the nose hoses after each use. Each client gets a new, unused nose hose to ensure cleanliness. We also sanitize the room in between each use. Are oxygen bars safe? When used safely, the answer is yes. Prolonged use of oxygen treatment can result in oxygen toxicity. This is why Cloud9 Spa limits the minutes of use with our oxygen lounge based on proven safety studies. Our rooms and facility is properly ventilated, as well. There is no risk of concentrated oxygen in our lounge room. Due to the nature of oxygen though and lengths of safety standards we are willing to go, we require that no lighters or fires to be ignited in the lounge room. Safety is always #1! Are oxygen bars legal? Recreational oxygen bars are legal in North Carolina. Cloud9 Spa does not treat, diagnose, or claim to cure any disease or ailments. All clients will be shown how to use and apply their own nose hose as Cloud9 Spa cannot administer oxygen to our clients. Please consult with your doctor before booking and signing the waiver form. Who should not try this? While oxygen bars are considered safe when used correctly with otherwise healthy people, oxygen bars should not be used if clients have certain conditions like (please review thoroughly): Respiratory Conditions: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Asthma Emphysema Cystic Fibrosis Other Medical Conditions: Heart condition Vascular disorder Other chronic medical conditions: Current illness Untreated Pneumothorax Asymptomatic Pulmonary Blebs and Bullae Eustachian Tube Dysfunction Claustrophobia History of Eye Surgery Insulin-Dependent Diabetes Mellitus or Acute Hypoglycemia Recent/Heavy Nicotine or Caffeine Use (avoid caffeine prior) Illicit Vasoconstricting Agents Uncontrolled High Fever Current Upper Respiratory Infection Chronic Sinus Condition Pacemakers or Epidural Pain Pump History of Thoracic or Ear Surgery Seizure Disorders Sickle Cell Anemia Congenital Spherocytosis Pregnancy
